How did you get into cooking?I started cooking when I was about 6 years old, but I've been in the kitchen since I was an infant. I was fortunate enough to grow up with a chosen family from many different backgrounds. From them, I've learned to cook everything from traditional red chili tamales to Mississippi Gumbo. What do you specialize in?I specialize in vintage recipes for modern society. As for one type of food, I believe there is no one way to eat and every culture and flavor deserves the spotlight. I take pride in bringing recipes that haven't seen the light of day in decade back to the spotlight for people to find comfort in and learn from.
